The problem
Right now, your quote process probably looks like this.
- 1
Homeowner wants a 9×7 sectional
Today 9:42am, they call your shop
- 2
You call back between installs
Tomorrow afternoon
- 3
Site visit to measure the opening
+2 days
- 4
You build the quote in Excel
+1 day
- 5
You email it
+3 hours, they already booked your competitor
Businesses that respond to a lead within an hour are about 7 times more likely to have a real conversation with that customer than those that wait longer. Your customers aren’t waiting around. ConfigBid turns "we’ll get back to you" into "here’s your number, right now."

How it works
Three steps. No code. No giant CPQ rollout.
Configure your products and rules.
Our team builds your first configurator with you: sections, questions, parts, and pricing rules. After that it’s yours. Add a product, change a price, tweak a rule, preview it, and publish when it’s ready. No deploys.
Customers self-quote on your site.
They go through a guided, card-based configurator on quote.yourcompany.com. Live price updates. Mobile-friendly. Branded to your company.
You get qualified leads.
Full spec, contact info, and a price they’ve already seen. Email alert, PDF, dashboard, or passed to your CRM through Zapier or Make. Mark won / lost / cancelled when the deal closes.
See it in action
You configure. They quote.
One question, two views: how you set it up, and what your customer sees. Change a price, preview exactly what your customer will get, and publish when you’re happy. Nothing goes live until you say so.

What you get
A quoting engine built for how configurable-product businesses actually sell.
Conditional logic and rules
If they pick an automatic door, ask about openers; if not, skip it. Quantities and pricing follow from their answers, so no more 40-question forms when 8 would do.
Quantities that work themselves out
Two track kits per opening? Brackets based on width? Set it up once and every quote calculates it for you. Anything you currently work out in a spreadsheet can become a rule.
Every quote captures the full spec
Width, height, opener type, insulation, windows, hardware. All on one record. No more "wait, what did they ask for?" before you respond.
Rules that explain themselves
Options that don’t fit a choice show greyed out with the reason (“requires an automatic door”), and answers that no longer apply are cleared with a visible note. Customers never wonder where an option went.
Adjust quotes after they come in
Fix a measurement, add a line the customer missed, or apply a goodwill credit. The total updates, and every change is logged with who made it. The customer’s answers stay exactly as they submitted them.
Your branding
Custom logo and accent color, on your own domain (quote.yourcompany.com). Looks like part of your site, because it lives right next to it.
Pricing
One flat price. Everything the app does, included.
No feature tiers. No upgrades to unlock. A one-time setup where we build your configurator with you, then one monthly price for everything.
ConfigBid
The full product. One price. Built for shops that want a real quoting tool without a CPQ rollout.

FAQ
Questions you might have.
How accurate is the quote for custom-sized products?
You configure the size bands and per-size pricing yourself (door widths, countertop lengths, whatever your product is measured in). Same logic you already use in your Excel template, set up as rules. For unusual openings, the customer still sees a number and you can adjust on the follow-up call. The quote is an estimate (just like the ones your team gives over the phone today), not a binding offer.
What if I sell more than one product line, like residential and commercial?
Today it’s one configurator per shop. Ask which product line they want first, then show only the questions, parts, and prices that apply to it. Multiple standalone configurators are on the roadmap for when one flow isn’t enough.
What if my pricing changes (material costs, supplier markups, etc.)?
Log into the admin and edit the part price or the rule. Preview it the way your customers will see it, then click Publish and it’s live on their next visit. Made a mistake? Put the previous version back in one click. Same for adding a new product, changing an option, or tweaking a formula. No deploys, no waiting on us.
Will it work on my existing website?
Yes. The configurator lives on your own domain, like quote.yourcompany.com (we set that up during onboarding; you just add one DNS record), and you link to it from a “Get a quote” button on your site. You don’t replace your website. You add a quote tool to it.
Do you integrate with QuickBooks / ServiceTitan / my CRM?
Not directly, yet. Today you can export quotes to a spreadsheet (one row per quote, or one row per line item) and send each new quote to Zapier or Make, which can pass it on to your CRM, QuickBooks, Google Sheets, and thousands of other apps. Zapier needs one of its paid plans for this; Make works on its free plan. Direct connections will come as customers ask for them.
What if a customer’s self-quote turns out wrong?
Quotes from ConfigBid are estimates, same as the ones your team produces today. You confirm and adjust before anything is binding. The win is that your customer has already seen a number close to the real one, so the conversation is much shorter.
How long does setup take?
Typically 2–3 weeks from kickoff. The bottleneck is usually getting your full price list and rules from you, not us building it.
Why is there a setup fee?
Because we build your first configurator with you: we map your products and pricing, set up the rules, review it with you, and train your team. A quote tool with your real prices in it on day one is what makes it pay off. After go-live you change anything yourself, any time.
Can I cancel anytime?
Monthly plans cancel anytime, no termination fee. Annual plans cancel at renewal. Your quotes are yours: we’ll send them to you as a spreadsheet when you leave.
A note from the founder
Why ConfigBid exists.
A decade of building line-of-business software surfaces one pattern everywhere: small businesses with real product complexity end up running their quoting from Excel and phone calls, then losing deals to whoever responds first.
Most quoting tools are built for the wrong size of company: lightweight calculators that can't handle real rules, or enterprise CPQ platforms that require a team of consultants to configure. ConfigBid is the in-between. Real rule logic and real product complexity, set up in two to three weeks, priced for a shop that bills $1M to $10M a year.
If you sell configurable products and this describes your problem, apply for the pilot. You’ll hear back within 3 business days.
The founder
Not ready for the pilot? Let’s just talk.
Send a quick note about your shop and we’ll set up a 15-minute call. We’ll walk you through a live configurator, sketch out how yours would work, and answer any pricing or integration questions.
